The Plight of the Fishermen Itinerary

Over the next two months I will start my journey to photograph different areas of the UK effected by the decline in the fishing industry.  My project, The Plight of the Fishermen, this will be part of a larger project but for the minute I want to focus on this part of the series. The series will show the struggles UK fishermen are going through with changes in government legislation effecting them. The world around us is changing at an alarming rate, trades and jobs that require skill, endurance and hard work are slowly being effected by our increasingly dismissive capitalist rule. Fishing is a vital to many parts of the UK's economy. Starting on 20th April my route will be as follows: London - Carlisle - Whitehaven - Carlisle - London - Portsmouth - London -York - Whitby - York - Grimsby -  Norwich - London - Inverness - Scrabster - Stromness - Island of Westray - Inverness - Arbroath -London - Cullercoats  - London
